1 – 2×6 – 8′

1 – 1″ dowel – 2′

1 – 10″ 5/8″ bolt, nut, washers

3″ deck screws

A – 2 – 2×4 – 2′

B – 2 – 2×4 – 3′

C – 2 – 2×4 – 2′

D – 2 – 2×4 – 8′

E – 2 – 2×6 – 1′

F – 2 – 1″ dowel – 1′

G – 2 – 2×6 – 2′ 6″

Seesaw plans step 1

Cut two 2×4’s to 2′ long (A). Drill 5/8″ holes as shown on illustration above. Round one end as shown on illustration above.

Cut two 2×4’s to 3′ long (B). Assemble as shown on illustration above, drill pilot holes, add wood glue, and screw 3″ deck screws through (B) and into (A).

Cut two 2×4’s to 2′ long (C). Round the ends of the 2×4’s as shown on illustration above. Assemble as shown on illustration above, drill pilot holes, add wood glue, and screw 3″ deck screws through (C) and into (B).

Cut two 2×4’s to 8′ long (D). Drill a 5/8″ hole to the center as shown on illustration above.

Cut two 2×6’s to 1′ long (E). Drill a 1″ hole for the dowel as shown on illustration above.

Cut two 1″ dowels to 1′ long (F).

Cut two 2×6’s to 2′ 6″ long (G). Shape the seat as desired.

Drill pilot holes, add wood glue, and assemble as shown on illustration above using 3″ deck screws.

Choose the desired height and install the 10′ 5/8 bolt, washers, and nut.

  5. I’ve read the plans and after reading it, something’s just don’t add up. How far down on part A do you drill the First, Second, Third and the Fourth hole ?? I also asked for you be to be sent to my place. How long would it take till I receive it in my mailbox ?? Thank Michael
