  8. how much does it cost to build this coop after buying all the objects needed.

  9. We are now half way done and this coop looks great. Wonderful plans. I would have liked some indication on how to do the hardware cloth/chicken wire on the base to keep out predators. Should it have been tight or loose under the dirt?

The cost for me was about $850.

    • I’m excited to hear it’s working for you! I’m starting on mine this weekend and appreciate the cost estimate.

Would you happen to have this design in a larger size? Roughly a 10 X 16 coop and a 10X10 run?

  14. Hallo,
please can anyone tell me what measurement 8×8 is in metric systems. For example centimeters.
8×8 is it mean feet?. Sorry but i need to convert it into european metric 🙂
1 feet = 30,48 cm – does anyone know if it is correct?
    Thank you an many greetings

    • Hi Sabine,

Yes, indeed. You are correct! 8×8 actually means 8′ x 8′ or, 8 feet by 8 feet. Each foot is 12″ or, 12 inches. One foot (12 inches) equals 30.48.

In other words, 96 inches by 96 inches (8 feet by 12 inches equals 96) is equivalent to 243.84 cm. Hopefully, this helps a bit.

      Many best wishes. Stay safe.
      Christine

  28. Can you please send me the plans?

  29. The plans for the “coop” (shed) are simple enough. However, I would like some direction on how to incorporate the nesting boxes into the coop and add an exterior access door to collect eggs. Also, when attaching the run to the coop, you have to omit building one wall (because it’s attached to the coop) so that’s material you don’t want wasted.
So, my question is, do you have a set of instructions for the Coop-Run Project which combines them in a way so not to waste work and materials unnecessarily?
