Re ‘large 10×12 large shed plan’, Why do you list 7 2×4 16 feet long in the ‘shopping list’ for the roof, but 14 feet in the ‘cut’ list?
My roofing metal is 38″ wide for 36″ coverage so I need to make adjustments. does the metal extend beyond the purlins, and if so, by how much? I will have 15′, 2″ width. I would rather not have to cut the metal.
This is a woods cabin project for my sons and adult grandsons.
Thanks.
I’d recommend watching a few YouTube videos for installing a metal roof. These plans don’t give enough details for you to know there should be an insulating/barrier strip underneath the perimeter of the metal, and doesn’t discuss drip edges or capping for metal roofing.
Perfect
How far off the floor should the window be? Is there a standard?
I am having a little trouble understanding how much hardware is required. Are the necessary amounts what is listed in the linked amazon items? And how many for the 3 1/2” galvanized nails–since there is no link?
How do tou attach the 4×4 to the floor? We had to also trim the 2x 6 down too. But now the floor just floats on top. Will blow off on a windy day.
