  1. Thank you so much for these plans. It seems so much cosier when I look out and see furniture we made ourselves.

  2. Hi there. Thanks so much for these plans! I just started getting the email updates and came across this plan. I am curious though…in the shopping list I don’t see mention of wood type (i.e. pine, cedar, etc). Since it is an outdoor project, I assume a wood variety that holds up well to the elements. Or does it not matter since you can always coat/seal any type of wood to make it work for outdoors?

  3. Rather than showing the distance of the “Cut-off’s” can you instead show a degree of angle for the cuts? This makes it much simpler for a sliding miter saw.

Thanks for your great plans and easy to follow directions. I modified the Picnic Table Plans slightly to make a Live Edge picnic table; and my wife loves it for the kids…

é um cadeira muito fácil de fazer eu gostei e vou construir uma

  6. I also would like to see the angle of cuts.

    • After you determine the first cut it should be pretty simple to use you speed square to determine the angle for the next few cuts. I get what you are saying but I believe these plans were made for a more move user that may or may not have a sliding miter saw.

  7. Muito bonito trabalho

  11. Hey, I’m building these right now and having a good time. Had a couple comments/questions.

On part C of the chairs you say:

“Cut a 1×4 to 11 5/16″, next rip in half. Cut the ends as shown in illustration above.”

I couldn’t really figure out what you meant by “rip in half” it seems like you mean to split the 1×4 down the length so it’s two pieces that are only .375″ in depth which seemed like a major pain in the ass to do with any accuracy. I just ended up making a second one out of another 1×4 for the other side. But what did you mean by rip in half?

Also, on the table, which I’m just starting, it looks like there is a missing part D, you only list one which would mean the back of the table is open and it would only be a 3 sided frame, is that intentional?
