Patio Chair Plans – Overview

Seat frame cutting details and assembly.

(A) – 3 – 1×4 – 22 1/2 in.
(B) – 2 – 1×4 – 24 in.

Assemble the seat frame as shown on drawing above. Use exterior wood glue, pre- drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through (B) and into (A).

(C) – 2 – 1×4 – 24 in.

Install the front legs (C) as shown on drawing above. Use exterior wood glue, pre-drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through (C) and into (A).

(D) – 2 – 1×6 – 36 in.

Using a 36 inch 1×6 board draw out the pattern for the back legs and cut out as shown on drawing above.

Install the back chair legs as shown on drawing above. Use exterior wood glue, pre-drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through back leg (D) and into the seat frame (A).

(E) – 14 – 1×2 – 24 in.

Install the seat slats (E) as shown on drawing above. Use exterior wood glue, pre-drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through the seat slats (E) and into the seat frame.

(F) – 6 – 1×2 – 24 in.

Install the chair back rest slats as shown on drawing above. Gap the slats 1/4 inch between each slat. Use exterior wood glue, pre-drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through (D) and into (F).

(G) – 2 – 1×2 – 22 1/2 in.

Install the arm rest support (G) as shown on drawing above. Use exterior wood glue, pre-drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through (G) and into (C) and (D).

(H) – 2 – 1×4 – 23 1/2 in.

Notch out the arm rest (H) as shown on drawing above.

Install the arm rest as shown on drawing above. Use exterior wood glue, pre-drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through (H) and into (G).

(I) – 2 – 1×2 – 24 in.

Install the leg brace (I) as shown on drawing above. Use exterior wood glue, pre-drill holes, screw 1 1/4 in. deck screws through (C) and (D) and into (I).
