A – 4 – 2×4 – 1′ 5″ (15-degree angle cuts on ends, same directions)
B – 2 – 2×4 – 1′ 6 1/2″
C – 2 – 2×4 – 1′ 5 1/4″ – (15-degree angle cuts on ends, opposite directions)
D – 5 – 2×4 – 4′
E – 1 – 2×4 – 3′ 3″
Step 1
Cut four 2×4’s to 1′ 5″ long for the legs (A). Cut 15-degree angle cuts on both ends in the same direction. –
Step 2
Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 6 1/2″ long for the seat support (B). Cut 45-degree angle cuts on both ends as shown on illustration above.
Step 3
Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 5 1/4″ long for the leg brace (C). Cut 15-degree angle cuts on both ends in the opposite directions.
Step 4
Pre-drill holes and assemble the bench legs as shown on illustration above using 3″ deck screws.
Step 5
Cut five 2×4’s to 4′ long for the seat slats (D). Pre-drill holes and attach the seat slats (D) to the seat supports (B) using 3″ deck screws. The seat slats will have a 3″ overhang as shown on picture above.
Step 6
Cut a 2×4 to 3′ 3″ long for the leg support (E). Pre-drill holes and screw 3″ deck screws through the leg brace (C) and into the support (E).

The plans on this page are incorrect. They give the wrong length of one component. You will waste wood using the dimensions in the plan, because you will have to re-cut that section after you figure out the correct length.
Note: I would have put this in the forum, but I have been unable to log-in. I’ve tried to join the forum twice now, using two different names, and email addresses. I get the email to confirm my email, click the link to verify, webpage says I’m verified, but still cannot log in. It still tells me I haven’t verified!!!

Thanks for letting us know what part (component) has the wrong length. Dick
