A – 1 – 5/8″ t1-11 exterior siding – 1′ 8 3/4″ x 2′ 1 7/8″
B – 1 – 5/8″ t1-11 exterior siding – 2′ 1 7/8″ x 1′ 4″
C – 1 – 5/8″ t1-11 exterior siding – 1′ 10″ x 2′ 3″
D – 1 – 5/8″ t1-11 exterior siding – 2′ 7 7/8 x 1′ 6″

Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 8 3/4″ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 10 7/8″ long. Cut four 2×4’s to 6″ long, for the legs, round the bottom of the 2×4 legs.
Assemble as shown on illustration above using 3″ nails.
Cut the parts as shown above using one 5/8″ t1-11 4’x8′ exterior siding sheet.
Floor Deck
Floor deck measures 1′ 8 3/4″ x 2′ 1 7/8″.
Sides
Right and left side of dog house measures 2′ 1 7/8″ x 1′ 4″.
Cut four 2×2’s to 1′ long, install as show on illustration above using 1 1/2″ deck screws, screw through the siding and into the 2×2’s.
Front and Back
Front and back measures 1′ 10″ x 2′ 3″, cut the top at 45 degrees’ angle.
Cut four 2×2’s to 1′ long, install as show on illustration above using 1 1/2″ deck screws, screw through the siding and into the 2×2’s.
Roof
Roof measures 2′ 7 7/8 x 1′ 6″.
Cut a 2×2 to 2′ long, install as show on illustration above using 1 1/2″ deck screws, screw through the siding and into the 2×2’s.
Roof
Cut the opposite side of the roof deck to 2′ 7 7/8″ x 1′ 6 5/8″.
Assemble all the parts as shown on illustration above using 1 1/2″ deck screws.
Thanks Jake, This is the first set of doghouse plans that make any sense.
Guess I’ll need to make two of them for my wife’s nasty little dogs.
Shouldn’t front and back be 18 inches wide not 22 inches as in your cutting list????
I’m not a carpenter but your plans were easy to follow and the small dog house came out good. I have to finish it by painting it and teaching my Yorkie to go into it when we are outside. Thank you very much for the plans.
Thank you for these easy-to-follow plans! My 13 year old grandson loved building this with a little help from me. We had a wonderful day. He and his dog are delighted with the results.
