Build 3 crates:
Cut 6 1×6’s to 10″ long (A). Cut nine 1×3’s to 1′ 3″ long (B). Cut twelve 1×3’s to 1′ 3″ long (C).
Assemble as shown on illustration above using 1 1/4″ wood screws.

Cut two 1×3’s to 1′ 1″ long (D). Cut two 1×4’s to 3′ long (E).
Assemble as shown on illustration above using 1 1/4″ wood screws.

Attach the crates as shown on illustration above using 1 1/4″ wood screws.

Walmart carries a variety of sizes of prefab wooden crates in their craft section and all you’d have to do is make the stand and mount them in place.
My sister will be joining a vegetarian exhibit and she needs to display crates. It was mentioned here that vegetable crates are made of planks of wood and bolts. Moreover, it’s recommended to go to trusted suppliers when in need of veggie crates.
